இரிச்மண்டு தமிழ்ச் சங்கம் 2025ம் ஆண்டிலிருந்து 'அதிபரின் தன்னார்வச் சேவை' விருதிற்கான (PVSA) சான்றளிக்கும் அமைப்பாக தேர்தெடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது என்பதை மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் அறிவிக்கிறோம்! நம் சங்கம், 'ஒளியின் மூலங்கள்' (Points of Lights) வழியாக அதிபரின் தன்னார்வச் சேவை விருது திட்டத்தில் கலந்துகொள்கிறது.

We are delighted to announce that Richmond Tamil Sangam has been approved as an official Certifying Organization for the President's Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) starting this year! Our organization participates in the President’s Volunteer Service Award program through Points of Light.

அமெரிக்காவின் தேசிய சேவை (AmeriCorps) தொடங்கி 'ஒளியின் மூலங்கள்' (Points of Light) நிர்வகிக்கும் அதிபரின் தன்னார்வச் சேவை விருது (PVSA) அமெரிக்காவின் வளம் மற்றும் தேசிய அடையாளத்தை மேம்படுத்துவதில் தன்னார்வலரின் பங்கைக் கண்டறிந்து பாராட்டுகிறது.

The President’s Volunteer Service Award, an initiative of AmeriCorps and administered by Points of Light, recognizes the vital role volunteers play in enhancing America’s strength and national identity. The President’s Volunteer Service Award is a prestigious civic honor bestowed by the President of the United States to individuals who have shown an exceptional commitment to volunteerism. The PVSA celebrates those who have made a significant impact through their dedicated volunteer service to communities and the nation, inspiring others to follow their example.

Volunteer Eligibility Requirement

அதிபரின் தன்னார்வச் சேவை விருதுக்காக (PVSA), நம் தமிழ்ச்சங்கம் சான்றளிக்க வேண்டும்.

விருது வழங்கும் அமைப்பு நம் சங்கத்தின் பரிந்துரைகளை நம்பிக்கையுடன் ஏற்கிறது. பொறுப்பினை சரிவரச் செய்யும் பொருட்டு, சங்கம் தன்னார்வளரின் சேவை செய்திட்ட நேரத்தினை உறுதி செய்ய, மற்றும் அவரது தகுதியைச் சரிபார்க்க சில கூடுதல் தகவல்களை கேட்கக்கூடும். சங்கதின் தேர்வு, விருது வழங்கும் அமைப்பின் தேர்வாக இருக்கும்.

விண்ணப்பிக்கத் தேவையான தகுதிகள்:

✅ மிக நீண்ட காலம் சேவை செய்தோருக்கு 'வாழ்நாள் சாதனையாளர் விருது' (Lifetime Achievement Award) வழங்கப்படும்.

சங்கம், தகுதி மற்றும் சேவைக் காலத்தினை சரிபார்த்த பின்னரே விருதுகளுக்கான விண்ணப்பங்களை அனுப்பி வைக்கும்.

Certifying volunteer hours with PVSA is a specific requirement for RTS. Before being able to certify hours and order awards, RTS may request additional information from the volunteers to verify their eligibility and confirm the completion of service. PVSA entrusts RTS (a Certifying Organization) to maintain processes that align with the specific needs of their organizations, and PVSA will respect a RTS (Certifying Organizations) decision regarding honoree eligibility.

Applicants must be:

✅ United States citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States (i.e., green card holder).

✅ At least five years old.

✅ Completes eligible service within a 12-month period (for annual Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards) and over a lifetime (for Lifetime Achievement Awards).

RTS Requirements and Tracking

விண்ணப்பதாரர், இரிச்மண்டு தமிழ்ச்சங்கத்தில் நடப்பு ஆண்டின் உறுப்பினராக இருத்தல் வேண்டும் (அல்லது, சங்க உறுப்பினரின் 18 வயதிற்குட்பட்ட குழந்தைகளாக இருக்கலாம்).
தகுதிக்குரிய சேவை என்பன:
✅ தங்கள் வயதுக்கு உட்பட்ட பிரிவிற்கு ஏற்ப செய்த சேவையில் குறைந்தது 50% தமிழ்ச்சங்க நிகழ்வுகள் அல்லது சங்கம் ஆதரிக்கும் திட்டங்களுக்கு (எ.கா: தமிழ்ப்பள்ளி) செய்திருக்க வேண்டும்.
✅ 5-10 வயது குழந்தைகளுக்கு இந்த நிபந்தனையில் இருந்து விலக்கு அளிக்கப்படும்)
விண்ணப்பிக்கும் முறை:
📌 PVSA விருதுக்கு விண்ணப்பிப்போர், தமிழ்ச்சங்க தன்னார்வலர் விண்ணப்பப் படிவத்தை நிரப்பிக் கொடுத்து பதிவு செய்து கொள்ள வேண்டும்.
📌 2024 முற்பட்ட சேவைக்காலம் கணக்கில் கொள்ளப்படமாட்டாது. தன்னார்வலராக பதிவு செய்து கொண்ட பிறகே சேவைக்காலம் கணக்கில் வரவு வைக்கத் துவங்கப்படும்.
📌 தமிழ்ச்சங்கத் தன்னார்வலர் சேவைக்காலப் படிவத்தின் வழியாக (RTS Volunteer Service Hours Form) வாரந்தோறும் சேவை புரிந்த நேரத்தினைப் பதிவு செய்திடல் வேண்டும்.
📌 சேவை நேரம், சங்க நிர்வாகக் குழு மூலம் ஒப்புதல் அளிக்கப்பட வேண்டும்.
சங்கத்தின் நேரடி மேற்பார்வையில் இல்லாத நடவடிக்கைகளுக்கு:
📌 சங்கம் ஏற்பாடு செய்யாத எந்த சேவைச் செயல்பாட்டுக்கும் முன் அனுமதி பெற வேண்டும்.
📌 volunteer@richmondtamilsangam.org முகவரிக்கு மின்னஞ்சல் அனுப்பி அனுமதி பெறலாம்.
📌 சங்கம் நேரடியாக சரிபார்க்க முடியாத சேவைக் காலத்திற்கு சான்றளிக்க முடியாது.
விருதுக்கான கால வரம்பு & விருது வழங்கல்:
📆 PVSA விருது காலம், சனவரி முதல் டிசம்பர் வரையிலான முழு ஆண்டு.
🏅 RTS இல் வசந்தகால நிகழ்ச்சியில் (Spring RTS Event) பதக்கம் மற்றும் சான்றிதழ்கள் வழங்கப்படும்.
சங்க நிர்வாக குழுவின் அதிகாரம்:
📌 சங்க நிர்வாகக் குழு PVSA தேவையின் பொருட்டு தன்னார்வலரின் சேவையின் தகுதியை மதிப்பீடு செய்யவும், சான்றளிப்பதை ஒப்புக்கொள்ள/மறுக்க அதிகாரம் உடையது.

We are requiring Volunteer Applicants to be a current RTS member in good standing (or RTS member’s children under 18).
Applicants must have completed a minimum of 50% of the required Volunteer service hours in their age group during RTS events or for any cause that is supported by RTS (Tamil School etc.). Kids (5-10 years old) are exempt from this requirement.
Volunteers aspiring to collect hours against the PVSA program have to register using the RTS Volunteer Registration form before starting to volunteer hours. Past hours (2024) will not be counted.
Volunteer Hours should be recorded in the RTS Volunteer Service Hours form on a weekly basis and have to be approved by the PVSA Program Administrator.
All activities not facilitated by RTS should receive prior approval by emailing to volunteer@richmondtamilsangam.org to be eligible for certification. RTS will consider if we can verify and validate the hours. RTS cannot certify for hours that cannot be verified independently.
The PVSA program runs through every calendar year starting in January and ending in December of every year. The medals and Certificate will be awarded during the spring RTS Event every year.
RTS EC reserves the right to evaluate the activity’s eligibility per PVSA requirements and approve or deny certification.

வாழ்நாள் சாதனை விருது (Lifetime Achievement Award) – எந்தவொரு வயதிற்கும் பொருந்தும், ஒருவரின் முழு வாழ்நாளில் 4,000+ மணிநேரம் சேவை செய்தவர்களுக்கு வழங்கப்படும்.
